Poland is the 5th most important e-market in the EU

06-06-2011 12:41:00

In 2010 Polish market was worth 3,3 billion Euros. It does not include trips, holidays, music, tickets etc. which was bought on-line. The most popular products are electronic items.

The three major EU markets are still the UK, France and Germany.

Surprisingly Polish market is bigger than Italian or Spanish. Poland has similar Internet users amount like Italy (about 50% of the citizens), Spain more than 60% - but Poles spend twice more money on-line.

Polish market still has potential for on-line development, because of:

  • permanent increase number of Internet users,
  • available different language versions of e-shops (Polish, English and German are the most popular),
  • new shopping forms (e.g. group shopping)
  • and new sectors of market available on-line.
