As many of our clients know, purchasing SSL from a hosting provider can be very expensive. In order to overcome those ridiculous prices and purchase the SSL certificate of your choice we took the time to write this general guide to installing 3rd Party SSL.

First, the only thing that SSL installation requires is a dedicated IP address. If you already have SSL on your website you have nothing to worry about, if this is your first time then double check with your hosting company to confirm that your website is currently using a dedicated IP.

The second step is to purchase the SSL certificate and generate the Certificate Signing Request (CSR). To purchase a certificate simply visit our SSLStore and pick the certificate that correctly addresses all of your needs, if you need help choosing the correct SSL certificate feel free use our online chat feature or contact us directly. Once you have purchased the certificate you will be prompted to generate a CSR file. You can do this by simply following the steps needed to purchase your SSL certificate.

Finally the last step is to obtain the CRT file from the certificate authority which will be sent to you after have purchased the SSL certificate and the CSR file is submitted. Once you have the CRT file simply inform your hosting company via live chat, support ticket etc. and they will finish the rest of the installation process.
