The campaign is starting in a few days. What is its purpose and how can you participate in it?
What are the goals of the European Cybersecurity Month?
The European Cybersecurity Month, organized at the initiative of the European Commission, aims to:
- generating awareness on cyber security, which is one of the priorities set in the EU cyber security strategy;
- promoting safer use of the Internet by users;
- involve interested parties;
- increase the interest of national media through the European and global dimension of the project;
- increasing attention and interest in information security through political and media coordination.

Do you want to get involved? Take part in the European Cybersecurity Month by organizing the event! Anyone interested can do it. Just select the target group and add your event to the action map.

Go to cybersecuritymonth.eu and browse the list of activities! It's almost 300 of them all over the EU.
The European Cybersecurity Month is accompanied by campaigns in the US - National Cyber Security Awareness Month and National Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign - Stop.Think. Connect. - and the National Cyber Security Awareness Week organized in Australia.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a 99-article regulation meant to protect the private data of Europeans in IT systems. Announced in 2016, covers a broad variety of topics and will go into effect as a requirement on May 25, 2018. GDPR applies to any company doing business in Europe even if it is located elsewhere.
